Hair and makeup have always been my passion.
For 36 years, I have explored many aspects of our industry. Some of my accomplishments include being a certified esthetician and makeup artist for the Virginia Cosmetology Association. I traveled all over the state teaching other stylists makeup trends and skincare.  I am a trophy winner in dramatic before and after makeup.  I have been runner-up as well as first place in several Total Look Fashion competitions for both women and men.  I am also a trophy winner in men's haircutting for the VCA.  In my years, I have also participated in runway hair and makeup, as well as photo shoots.  I was voted Most Popular Stylist by our local newspaper. Later, I worked as an educator for an international color company and traveled to salons teaching color theory and techniques.
Becoming a mom and then a salon owner slowed down my travels a bit.  I became a salon owner in 2004.  Our salon has been voted Best Haircut for our local paper twice by our wonderful clients! One of my passions is feeding the homeless and making regular contributions to our local food bank.  We also participate in Runway2Life.  This is a not-for-profit organization bringing awareness to mental health and suicide prevention.
I feel very blessed to have come this far and to have had such a rewarding career.  My family has been my biggest cheerleader and keeps me sane. Our clients and hard working staff have enabled me to run a successful salon. I owe a very special thanks to them all!  We are a family salon and welcome everyone!
